Knitlust because… that is the only way to describe how I feel about knitting.
Knitlust because… that’s how I feel when I walk into my LYS.
Knitlust because… it impairs my judgment and causes me to make bad financial choices!
Knitlust because… it gets the better of me and I start new project after new project without ever finishing anything.
Knitlust because… I know it’s not right but I can’t help myself.
Knitlust because… I have more yarn than I know to do with.
Knitlust because… when I see beautiful jewel-coloured yarn, I have to control the urge to grab it and chew on it.
Knitlust because… I love the smell of silk, the smell of wool.
Knitlust because… my love of knitting has inspired me to branch out into other, knitting-related fibre-crafts: spinning, weaving, dying, felting.
Knitlust because… I keep knitting even when my children need me.

I am a 30-something mother of two-under-three, a SAHM, former career-ish girl, married to a Somerset lad, and living in rural England. I have been knitting for nearly 20 years, since I woke one day at the age of 19 and, before I’d even gotten out of bed, decided I wanted to learn how to knit. I bought the Vogue Knitting book (my bible to this day) and sat down and taught myself. The rest is… a house full of yarn and half-finished projects.
